Lake Washington Goes Bahama Yellow 08/09/2026
Brennan's car is now ready for the drive to Lake Washington Cars and Coffee.
Many are unaware of the careful planning and effort required to operate a car with such a low profile. In preparation for the drive to Seattle, Brennan conducted a scouting session to determine the optimal route to the meeting location, minimizing the risk of scraping and damaging the car.
Many onlookers sparked numerous discussions due to its distinctive features, such as the 13-inch Watanabe wheels and the 250mm Moon Eyes wheel. Another distinguishing feature for this car is RS Active headlights and the complete Kanspo Body kit. It took a lot of perseverance to obtain the whole kit over time; since it has been discontinued since the early 2000s. It was natural to scour yahoo auctions over time and other secondhand sites to find every piece to the bodykit puzzle.
For his final project at Auto Body School, Brennan personally painted the vehicle.
This process not only demonstrated his technical abilities but also his commitment to quality craftsmanship. It was not just a painted vehicle; it was a testament to his dedication and passion for the joy of cars, reflecting the countless hours of practice and learning he invested in his education and his hobby.
Along with the Kanspo weapon R kit, the vehicle was accompanied with Garage Vary Tail lights.
Initially, this specific Miata was a 1.8 model. However, to accommodate the 13-inch Watanabe wheels, it was necessary to switch to a smaller brake configuration, specifically the 1.6 Miata brakes. It was also required to change the front lower control arms and the rear upper control arms to make the wheels fit in this fashion.

When it comes to interior styling, the Miata was equipped with many unique selection interior tune-up parts.
As previously mentioned, it is equipped with a Moon eyes 250mm grant wheel, a Car Make Corn's seat, and a Road Kids Shifter and shifter surround. Together, these components—the Moon Eyes steering wheel, Car Make Corn's seat, and Road Kids shifter—create a driving environment that is both comfortable and engaging. They reflect a careful selection of aftermarket parts that not only enhance the vehicle's tactile performance but also its aesthetic appeal, making it a true standout to any seasoned Miata/Roadster/MX5 enthusiast.
Many onlookers enjoyed the presence of the Bahama Yellow Mazda. An interesting coincidence was that one of Brennan's previously owned vehicles was at the meeting, it was a E36 BMW.
Numerous stickers he applied remained on the car, accompanied by various other modifications. Some of these changes were improvements, while others were, at best, questionable.
It was a bittersweet moment to see a car you had previously owned transformed into something you wouldn't have expected. At the same time, Brennan did not miss this car.
As for the best of show, it is none other than Winston. (see image above.)
It was apparent that this Miata was Winston's favorite. It really makes you wonder what his criteria for judging were. He seems to be a Garage Vary body kit fan. As well as this Ferrari as seen below.
Ultimately, it's incredibly rewarding to create something you love to see and drive, and that others admire as well. It's akin to how Winston feels in this image. I highly recommend trying to build something with your own personal style at least once.
